Floyi is the closed loop system behind our topical authority playbook

Floyi grew out of years of topical maps, content audits, and authority plans for teams who were tired of running strategy from scattered decks and spreadsheets.

Why we built Floyi

The system we could not find in the market

Most teams run content and SEO from a pile of tools that never share the same source of truth. Strategy lives in slide decks that no one opens after the kickoff. Keywords sit in tabs that stay open for months. Topics hide in private spreadsheets. Briefs and drafts live in documents that never touch the plan.

At the same time, search has shifted. Two people type the same phrase and see different answers. Classic organic results and AI systems now stitch together answers based on context, history and intent. Your reports still act as if there is one fixed results page for everyone.

The gap shows up in real work. Teams ship articles that never had a chance to rank or earn links. They repeat the same topics in slightly different ways. They spend weeks “refreshing content” without a clear map of what that means.

You can keep stacking tools and hope they line up. Or you can use a system that was built to keep the pieces in sync from the start.

Floyi exists to kill the Franken stack. It gives you one closed loop for brand, topics and authority so every project lines up with a clear, visible plan instead of a collection of guesses.

Our mission

Our mission is to give teams one system that connects brand, audience and topics to real market signals so every brief and draft builds the authority they care about.

If a piece of work does not move that authority, it does not belong in the plan.

Principles

How we see content and search

These principles drive how we design Floyi and how our customers win with content, SEO and AI search across both classic SERPs and new answer surfaces. They are not theories. They are the rules we see in teams that compound authority instead of chasing spikes.

  • Brand, audience and topics belong in one model, not scattered decks, sheets and tools. When they live together, every change flows through the system instead of getting lost in meetings.
  • Topics come first. Keywords are one expression of those topics, not the strategy. Start from topics and you plan authority. Start from keywords and you plan tasks.
  • Topical maps are the structure of your expertise. They should show where to go deep, where to connect pages and where to stop publishing more of the same.
  • Authority has layers. Content authority is how well you cover a topic. Market authority is how you compare to rivals. AI authority is how systems choose you when they build answers. You need to know which layer is holding you back before you act.
  • Rankings and traffic matter only when they change what you write, improve or promote next. If a metric never shifts your plan, it is decoration.
  • Strategy, planning and execution should run in a closed loop, not three separate workflows. New content should update the map and priorities, not live as a one off.
  • Search engines and AI answers reward brands with clear topical structure, consistent signals and useful content, not random coverage. Humans own the map and the decisions. AI should help with speed, structure and options, not replace judgment.

Ignore these and you can still get traffic, but you will not build the kind of authority that survives the next shift in search.

What Floyi does

Floyi turns scattered work into a single flow. Strategy, planning, content creation, and feedback all live in one closed loop instead of four separate workflows.

We follow a simple order. First strategy, then topics, then execution, then feedback. Any other order invites chaos.

Brand foundation

Set your mission, positioning, offers, and voice once. Floyi turns them into live rules that shape topics, briefs and drafts so your team stops rewriting the basics in every document.

Audience insights

Build personas and journeys with real data. Use them to steer angles, formats and examples. Stop guessing what people care about in each stage.

Topical research

Pull in keywords, questions and SERP signals from the market. Group ideas around buyer needs and topic intent instead of chasing whatever a tool suggests next.

Topical maps

Turn that research into a clear, multi-level topical map. See your pillars, clusters and supporting topics so you know where to go deep, where to connect pages and where to stop publishing more of the same.

Topical authority planner

Score coverage against your map. See where you and your rivals hold authority and where you are invisible. Turn that view into a roadmap that shows what to write, what to improve and what to leave alone.

Content briefs and drafts

Create briefs, outlines and first drafts that already carry your brand rules, audience insights and topical map. Writers stop fighting blank pages and conflicting instructions. Editors stop stitching strategy back in at the last minute.

Closed loop feedback

Pull in coverage, performance and visibility across search and AI. See in one place what is working, what is noise and how each piece changes your topical authority. Update your map and priorities without rebuilding everything from scratch. This is what makes Floyi a system, not a static plan.

Most tools handle one step in this flow. Floyi is built to keep all of them in sync.

Who we serve

Who Floyi is for

The Overwhelmed Orchestrator

You run content or marketing. You sit between leadership that wants clear results and a team buried in scattered tools, versioned decks and private sheets. Every planning meeting turns into a debate over whose document is current.

Floyi gives you one source of truth for brand, audience, topics and plans that everyone can see. You spend less time syncing tools and more time making decisions and unblocking work.

The Skeptical Strategist

You own SEO or content strategy. You can feel that keyword tools and rank trackers are not enough in a world of AI answers. You also know that one more point solution will not fix a broken system.

Floyi gives you topical maps, authority views and competitor insight in a single planner. You can show where you stand, what to do next and why it matters without exporting the same data into three different decks.

The Executive Sponsor

You are a CMO or VP. You sign off on budgets and carry the risk. You want a clear line between money spent, topics covered and authority gained. You are tired of dashboards that look busy but never change decisions.

Floyi turns abstract plans into a concrete map, scorecard and roadmap. You can see where the team is investing, which topics move the needle and where to cut wasted effort before it becomes sunk cost.

Why this system is different

What makes Floyi different

Floyi is not one more AI writer or keyword tool. It is a closed loop topical authority system built for content, SEO and AI search.

Most stacks

Most stacks keep brand, audience and topics in separate decks, sheets and tools.

Floyi

Floyi keeps them in one live model that every topic, brief and draft pulls from automatically, so strategy stops drifting as work scales.

Most stacks

Most stacks start from keywords and build tasks.

Floyi

Floyi starts from topics and builds authority plans. Topical research, topical maps and the Topical Authority Planner line up so you know exactly what to write, improve or ignore.

Most stacks

Most stacks measure rankings and traffic, then leave you to guess what to do next.

Floyi

Floyi scores content authority, market authority and AI authority so you can see where to double down, where to defend and where you are wasting effort.

Most stacks

Most stacks were built for ten blue links and static SERPs.

Floyi

Floyi is built for SERPs and AI answers that change by user, context and intent, so your plan reflects how people actually see your brand now.

Most stacks

Most stacks trap feedback in dashboards and reports.

Floyi

Floyi feeds coverage, performance and AI visibility straight back into the planner so priorities shift with real signals, not opinions. That means less content that never ranks, fewer tools to maintain and a clearer link between effort and revenue.

Our story

“What topics do we actually own in this market.”

Floyi grew out of years of client work, topical maps and broken spreadsheets for teams that were tired of guessing.

Floyi did not start as software. It started inside topical maps, content audits and authority plans we built for clients through courses, services and agency work.

In project after project, the pattern stayed the same. Teams bought keyword tools, rank trackers and content platforms, yet their strategy still lived in scattered slides, sheets and docs. Every campaign felt like a one off. Nobody could answer a simple question. “What topics do we actually own in this market.”

We tried to fix it with better templates, new spreadsheets and tighter workflows. They helped for a while, then collapsed under the same Franken stack. The tools were not the real problem. The lack of a single system was.

So we made a choice. Instead of building one more template pack, we turned the playbook into a product. Floyi is the result. It is years of experiments, client work and broken spreadsheets distilled into a closed loop topical authority system for teams who are done guessing.

How we work

Strategy first, features second

We ship features only when they change what you plan, write or improve. If it does not affect decisions, it does not ship.

Topic first, then keywords

We design Floyi around structure, not scraps. Topics, topical research and topical maps come first. Keywords are one signal inside that structure, not the backbone.

Measure what changes behavior

We focus on metrics that change plans and priorities, not dashboards that look good in screenshots. If a number never leads to a different action, it does not belong.

Simple on purpose

We aim for fewer moving parts and clearer flows. That means shorter paths to briefs, fewer settings and less time teaching the tool. Complexity is a cost, not a flex.

Human in charge, AI in service

We build Floyi so humans own the map and the decisions. AI helps with speed, structure and options. We will not build features that ask you to hand your strategy to a black box.

If you want vanity metrics, bulk AI spam or a tool that hides decisions, Floyi is not for you. If you want clarity, authority and a system that forces better choices, it is.

More than a tool

Floyi sits inside a wider system for topical authority and AI search. You can learn the playbook, get expert help or plug everything into the product.

Topical Maps Unlocked

Our training program for teams that want to think in topics, clusters and authority instead of isolated keywords. The same mental models sit behind Floyi’s topical research, topical maps and planner.

TopicalMap.com

A done for you service for teams that want expert-built topical research, topical maps and content plans. Many clients start with a map from here, then load it into Floyi to run planning and content.

Community and content

Through the Digital Surfer newsletter, the SearchAuthority community and public breakdowns, we share how topical authority and AI search play out in real projects. You do not have to invent your process alone.

If you want education, a partner or a product, there is a path. Floyi is where they connect.

Who trusts Floyi

Floyi is used by content and SEO teams who care less about churning out articles and more about building authority that drives pipeline.

Result: fewer tools, clearer plan

“Floyi gave us one place to connect brand, topics and execution. We cut our content tools from seven to three, and planning meetings went from two hours of arguing over sheets to thirty minutes of real decisions.”

Alex Whitmore

Director of Content Strategy, B2B SaaS

Result: authority that shows up in revenue

“We used the Topical Authority Planner to stop publishing random posts and fill real gaps on our map. In six months, qualified organic demo requests grew by 28 percent with fewer articles than the year before.”

Jacob Merritt

Head of Growth Marketing, Analytics Platform

Result: less noise, more confidence

“Before Floyi, every team had its own version of the strategy. Now we plan everything from one topical map and scorecard. I can see where we are investing, which topics move pipeline and which projects to kill.”

Emily Carver

VP of Marketing, Digital Agency

Where Floyi is headed

Floyi is in active development with one aim. Make it normal for serious content and SEO teams to run everything from a single topical authority system instead of a Franken stack.

We are deepening authority views so you can see content, market and AI authority in one place. We are sharpening planning flows so maps and roadmaps stay aligned without manual upkeep. We are tightening feedback loops so AI search behavior, coverage and performance update your plan in days, not quarters.

AI search has already changed how people see your brand. The gap between teams with a clear topical authority system and teams guessing from old reports will only get wider.
